Make-a-Difference Day 2022

The Center for Development & Civic Engagement (formerly Voluntary Service) at James A. Haley Veterans’ Hospital (JAHVH) is facilitating the annual “Homeward Bound for Those Who Served’ on Make A Difference Day”, Saturday, October 29, 2022.  This program will look different than years past, as we are continuing to protect our most vulnerable patients from the outside world—gift cards will be mailed.  Please see attachment for details and pledge information.

We hope that each of you will join us again this year to support the “Homeward Bound for those Who Served” project. The Medical Foster Home program provides placement for approximately 50 non-service connected Veterans who are dependent, chronically or terminally ill with limited family and financial support.

Support from our community partners make it possible to provide extra niceties for Veterans residing in medical foster homes to enhance their quality of life. Attached you will find information on how you can support the “Homeward Bound for Those Who Served” project.  Please support a Veteran today by selecting to donate gift cards or money to purchase gift cards for this unique population.

Please complete the attached registration form and return it by Friday, September 17, 2022, to Shelby Schoenborn:
