South Tampa Chamber of Commerce Announces 2021 Award Winners

The South Tampa Chamber of Commerce hosted a Member Appreciation and Awards Luncheon on December 16, 2021.

After recounting some of the Chamber’s achievements from the past year including adding nearly 140 new members, hosting more than 60 events, and participating in 30 ribbon cuttings to celebrate new businesses, the Chamber’s President & CEO Kelly Flannery, said “We have increased our advocacy efforts, provided educational opportunities to grow your business, continued to be a one-stop resource, and launched a new young professionals program. This is just a snap-shot of all that the chamber has achieved this past year.”
Chamber members were recognized during the event with an awards ceremony. “.” said Flannery.
2021 South Tampa Chamber Award Recipients:

Member of the Year: Tanya Cielo, Sky Strategic Marketing
Volunteer of the Year: Michael Dervech, Breezin Entertainment
Ambassador of the Year: Marybeth Anglin, Roche Surety and Casualty Co., Inc.
Local leaders Rita Lowman of Pilot Bank and Joe Waggoner of the Tampa Hillsborough Expressway Authority were also honored at the event as Community Champions. The South Tampa Chamber Community Champion Awards recognize those members who have done extraordinary things in the community and who truly embody the vision of the South Tampa Chamber - to make South Tampa the BEST place to live, work and play.
Closing out the event, Chair of the Board, Chris Bentley, announced that the Chamber’s office would be moving in early 2022 and they would be introducing a new logo, website and magazine to be revealed at the Chamber’s annual meeting in March. “Our rebranding task force has been meeting throughout this past year and feel that we have developed a vibrant new brand that will reflect who the South Tampa Chamber is today and lead us into our next 95 years.” said Bentley.
