Nominations open for South Tampa Chamber Hurricane Heroes

The South Tampa Chamber Hurricane Hero Award recognizes individuals, groups, or organizations who displayed extraordinary courage, selflessness, and dedication in aiding their communities during the aftermath of Hurricane Helene and Hurricane Milton. This award honors those who went above and beyond in the wake of these devastating storms, providing vital support to neighbors, businesses, and residents in the South Tampa area and beyond.

Recipients of the Hurricane Hero Award may include first responders, volunteers, local businesses, and community leaders who played an essential role in disaster relief efforts, including but not limited to:

• Coordinating emergency services and supplies
• Assisting with debris removal and rebuilding efforts
• Providing shelter and essential resources to displaced individuals and families
• Offering emotional support and mental health services to those impacted
• Demonstrating extraordinary leadership in organizing recovery efforts and ensuring the safety and well-being of the community
