South Tampa Chamber 2024 Board of Directors
The South Tampa Chamber is proud to announce our 2024 Board of Directors. This year’s board will lead the chamber through an exciting time as the Chamber enters into the second year of a five-year strategic plan. This year’s goals will include to grow membership through recruitment and retention, increase advocacy efforts with the introduction of a new legislative agenda, to expand educational and young professionals programming.
The board will be led by Tara Moody, Vice President of Synergy Technology Solutions. Tara has been actively involved in the chamber since 2018 and previously served as the Co-Chair of the Chamber’s Ambassador Committee. Tara was also recognized as the South Tampa Chamber’s Member of the Year in 2023.

The 2024 Board of Directors was introduced at the Chamber’s Annual Meeting on December 13, 2023. The Chamber’s 2023 Chair of the Board Dr. Shane Smith said “We have increased our advocacy efforts, provided educational opportunities to grow your business, continued to be a one-stop resource, and launched a new young professionals program. This is just a snap-shot of all that the chamber has achieved this past year.”
2024 Chair of the Board Tara Moody said, “As many have shared, this Chamber is special; it’s inclusive, friendly, and built of members that genuinely care about one another, it offers a unique opportunity to be able to do business with professionals who very quickly become your friends as well as your referral sources.
