South Tampa Chamber Announces 2025 Business of the Year Winners

The South Tampa Chamber proudly hosted its 2025 Business of the Year Awards on June 18 at the Westshore Grand Hotel. The event celebrated excellence in business and community leadership, recognizing organizations and individuals who exemplify growth, innovation, and service across the South Tampa region.
“Our Business of the Year Awards is an opportunity to recognize and honor the remarkable achievements of our member businesses, non-profits, and leaders, that have made significant contributions to the economic and social fabric of South Tampa. It's a chance for us to come together as a community and celebrate the passion, dedication, and hard work of these outstanding individuals and organizations,” said Kelly Flannery, President & CEO of the South Tampa Chamber.
A record number of nominations were submitted this year, with more than 80 applicants evaluated by a panel of business and community leaders. The Chamber recognized 33 finalists and presented awards in twelve categories.

- Business Leader of the Year: Greg Slater, Tampa Hillsborough Expressway Authority
- COMPASS Award: HCA Florida South Tampa Hospital
The COMPASS Award, launched in 2024, honors organizations that lead with Community, Outreach, Mentorship, Partnership, Advocacy, Support, and Stewardship. This year’s recipient, HCA Florida South Tampa Hospital, was recognized for its unwavering commitment to service and healthcare excellence.
