The Tampa Bay Defense Alliance, in partnership with the South Tampa Chamber and numerous community partners, has launched Operation Embrace 2025 — a coordinated effort to support military personnel and federal employees impacted by the government shutdown. Across the Tampa Bay region, non-profit organizations, financial institutions, utility providers, and others have stepped up to offer essential programs that provide comfort and stability for military families and government workers, no matter how long the need continues. Visit the Operation Embrace website for the latest updates and available resources.

United Way Suncoast Shutdown Resources
As our elected officials continue to seek a resolution to the current government shutdown, a group of representatives from local nonprofits, municipalities and utilities continue to meet about how best to provide assistance to federal employees that could be impacted. The collaboration, which includes Feeding Tampa Bay, United Way Suncoast, Tampa International Airport, and the Crisis Center of Tampa Bay, has solidified relief plans. Food relief is available (check links below) through Feeding Tampa Bay. Anyone in the community who is impacted by the shutdown can connect to emotional support and community resources by calling 211. Please bring your ID for services.  As the shutdown persists, we’re here to support you — check back often for new resources and assistance.
