South Tampa Chamber Hosts Ribbon Cutting for New Chamber Office

South Tampa Chamber Hosts Ribbon Cutting for New Chamber Office

The South Tampa Chamber hosted a ribbon cutting on Tuesday, April 26 to welcome the community to their new office located at 3415 W Bay to Bay Boulevard. The event will featured refreshments provided by local businesses, live music, photo opportunities, and remarks to be made by
  • Senator Janet Cruz
  • City of Tampa Mayor Jane Castor
  • Hillsborough County Commissioner Harry Cohen
  • South Tampa Chamber Chair of the Board, Rebekah Nault
  • South Tampa Chamber President & CEO, Kelly Flannery
The Chamber relocated from South Howard in Hyde Park to the Palma Ceia business district in February. Earlier this year, the Chamber unveiled a new logo and branding, and published a magazine in commemoration of the Chamber’s 95th Anniversary. A new website is also expected to be released in the coming weeks.

“The Chamber has gone through some major changes this year and it only makes sense that our physical office also represents the evolution of our organization. Bay to Bay Boulevard is in the heart of South Tampa and the new location is easily accessible for our members and for the community,” said Rebekah Nault, Chair of the Board.

Nault said that the chamber’s focus for 2022 will be to increase DEI initiatives, to recenter their focus on transitioning military employment, and to advocate on behalf of local businesses. The chamber has already recruited more than 50 new members this year and hosted several sold-out events. The chamber’s board will also be facilitating the creation of a new strategic plan to act as a road map for the chamber over the next 5 years.

“We started talking about the chamber, all that we have accomplished over the past ten years and where we are headed. The energy. The excitement. The sense of community. Some of the things that make South Tampa such a special place are the same things that make our chamber stand out from the rest. Having the office at street level and with our logo as the marque on the building is a major milestone for the chamber. We want to be the go-to resource for both businesses and the residents who live here,” said Kelly Flannery, President and CEO.
