South Tampa Chamber Welcomes Blake Guthrie as Chair of the Board

The South Tampa Chamber of Commerce is pleased to welcome Blake Guthrie as Chair of the Board during the organization’s centennial year, marking 100 years of service to the South Tampa business community.

“The South Tampa Chamber has spent 100 years championing local businesses and strengthening our community,” said Guthrie. “I’m incredibly excited and grateful to serve as Chair during this centennial year as we honor our past and continue creating meaningful opportunities for our members.”

As Chair, Guthrie will help guide the Chamber into its next century with a focus on:

  • Advocating for the community
  • Delivering exceptional value to all Chamber members
  • Helping businesses of all sizes thrive through connection, advocacy, and meaningful programs
  • Continue to strengthen the fabric of South Tampa’s economy

About Blake Guthrie: Guthrie was named the ReliaQuest Bowl’s Director of Community Partnerships in February 2019, where he leads partnership development, community outreach initiatives, and select event management efforts. He brings more than 20 years of sports management experience, including roles with ESPN Events, the Miami Beach Bowl, the Tampa Bay Sports Commission, and the University of South Florida Athletics. Fun fact: Guthrie has worked in football since high school, but has never played a down of organized football.

A Bradenton native, Guthrie is a 2004 graduate of the University of South Florida with a degree in Public Relations. He and his wife, Morgan, live in Lutz with their two children.
