Leading up to Small Business Saturday in November, you can connect with local successful small business owners for lively discussions on what it takes to survive and thrive as a small business. Learn why shopping and supporting local makes all the difference in Hillsborough County.
Hillsborough County Economic Development is hosting three live virtual panel discussions, each focusing on a different small business sector, on the following Fridays at 9 a.m.:
Nov. 6 - Business to Business Panel
Nov. 13 - Food Industry Panel
Nov. 20 - Retail Industry Panel
The 30-minute discussions each will feature three different local business leaders and will be followed by a brief question-and-answer period. Registration is free using the links above. The panel discussions also will be available live on Hillsborough County's Facebook page.
The County's Entrepreneur Collaborative Center (ECC) is hosting the panel discussions as an official Neighborhood Champion and Shop Small ambassador for the international Small Business Saturday and the Shop Small Movement.
Small businesses are the lifeblood of Hillsborough County's economy. More than 90 percent of employers in Hillsborough County are small businesses, which employ more than 200,000 workers.
The ECC provides entrepreneurs and small businesses of all types easy access to business service providers, resources, mentorship, and specialty training through more than 80 business and community partners. Additionally, professional business consultants are available at no cost to assist small businesses in identifying COVID-19 pandemic recovery assistance that may be available for their individual business needs.
