National University is a nonprofit, Yellow Ribbon school founded in 1971 by retired U.S. Navy Capt. David Chigos. Today, we are proud to support the U.S. military by making higher education accessible and achievable — not just for veterans, but spouses and dependents as well. We offer over 75 degree programs, and many professional and enrichment certificates. Our four-week classes are available online so you can pursue your education while balancing your personal and professional demands.
NU accepts the post-9/11 GI Bill® and has been designated a Military Friendly School (MFS) Gold Level in the category of Private offering Doctorate for 2022-2023. In addition, our Veteran Center provides guidance and support to help ease the transition from military to civilian life.
