Future Career Academy Volunteer Opportunities for the HPWA

The Future Career Academy is celebrating its ninth year of preparing and connecting students with great jobs and training opportunities in their communities. More than 1500 students will visit local businesses in January and February and have hands-on experience in how various companies work daily.
 
This undertaking is only possible through the countless and amazing volunteers who give of their time. Last year, volunteers served 1464 hours at our events, which would not have been successful without their generous help. Again this year, we are asking for new and returning volunteers as our engagement with students grows. 
 
We have two opportunities for involvement in the upcoming series of events, including being a Chaperone on any of our eight days of Business Tours in January/February or a Navigator at any of our 6 Future Fair Hiring Events in April. 
 
Many of our volunteers enjoy serving on multiple days during each event and are welcome to participate as scheduling permits.  We do ask for an 8:00 am - 3:00 pm commitment as a Chaperone on one of the field trips or a Navigator at a Future Fair to maintain consistency with the student.
