HCA Florida South Tampa Hospital Enhances Campus Safety with New Security Vehicles - News Release: 8/29/2025

HCA Florida South Tampa Hospital has introduced new security vehicles to both of its hospital campuses, further strengthening its commitment to the safety and well-being of patients, visitors and staff.  The addition of these vehicles will allow the hospital security teams to respond quickly and effectively across all areas of the facilities, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for their communities.       

“Safety is at the heart of everything we do,” said Ned Hill, CEO of South Tampa and West Tampa Hospitals.  “By adding these vehicles, we are giving our security teams the tools they need to be even more responsive and visible across our campuses, providing extra peace of mind for everyone who comes through our doors.” 

The new vehicles will be used daily by the hospital’s trained security personnel, and reflects South Tampa Hospital’s ongoing commitment to providing not only exceptional care but also a secure environment for all.
