Applications Open for 2026-2028 Board of Directors

The South Tampa Chamber of Commerce is now accepting applications for individuals interested in serving on our Board of Directors beginning in January 2026.
As a vital part of the Chamber's leadership, Board Members play a key role in advancing our mission: to provide a forum which connects members, enhances commerce, and enriches the South Tampa community. If you are passionate about the Chamber’s mission and are ready to make a meaningful impact in our business community, we encourage you to apply.
Responsibilities of Board Members include:
- Designing and supporting programs and initiatives that benefit our members.
- Representing the Chamber at both public and private events.
- Engaging with current and prospective members.
- Staying informed on issues and opportunities relevant to the South Tampa community.
Qualifications & Expectations:
- Must be a member, or representative of a member business, in good standing.
- Commit approximately 4–6 hours per month to Chamber activities.
- Attend monthly Board meetings (held the third Tuesday of each month, 10 months per year).
- Participate in Chamber functions and assist with member engagement, sponsorship development, and community outreach.
- Support member recruitment and retention efforts through outreach and relationship-building.
Term of Service:
- Board Members serve a three-year term beginning January 1, 2026, through December 31, 2028. Active participation is essential. Members with more than three absences within a 12-month period may be subject to removal.
Applications are due by 11:00pm on Sunday, August 31, 2025.
